Subject: Irregular clearance of garbage in the locality.

Respected Sir,

Being a responsible resident I, on behalf of the dwellers of this locality, would like to raise my voice regarding the problems caused by the irregular clearance of garbage in our municipal area. Heaps of garbage by the road has made the daily lives of the local people unbearable for over a month. Consequently, office goers and passers-by have been facing difficulties due to the stinking/ foul smell coming out of the piled up garbage. These piled up sewage scattered all around have become the breeding ground for mosquitoes, flies and other deadly enteric or contagious diseases. Several complaints to the municipality to remedy the situation went in vain. Cases of cholera, diarrhoea, malaria and dengue have already been reported in the local news channel. Dengue that has been prevailing as an epidemic lately should be considered as the greatest concern by the municipal authority.

Hence, Sir, you are earnestly requested to kindly allow a column in your esteemed daily in this regard, so that it may draw the attention of the authorities concerned and required steps could be taken at the earliest to restore the situation. Your cooperation in this regard is highly solicited.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,
