Madhyamik English WRITING Suggestion 2021

 

 

LETTER:

1. Write a letter to your younger brother advising him to avoid the use of smart phones frequently (within 100 words).

2. Write a letter to the editor of an English daily about the disturbances caused by the thoughtless use of loudspeakers (within 100 words).

3. Write a letter to the editor of an English daily about the price-rise of essential commodities.

4. Write a letter to your friend describing an exciting cricket/football match you have witnessed (Word limit 100).

5. Write a letter to your friend describing your 'Visit to a Book Fair'.

6. Write a letter to your younger brother living in Kolkata asking him to take preventive measures at the outbreak of dengue (within 100 words). You may use the following points.

PROCESSING:

Study the flow-chart and describe how mustard oil is prepared.

STORY:

[two friends walking through a jungle - a bear suddenly came on one of the friends climbed up a tree - the other could not - lay flat on the ground as if dead - bear smelt his face - thought him dead - went away - the first friend came down - enquired about what the bear said - friend replied, 'Don't trust a friend who leaves you in danger.]

NOTICE:

1. Suppose you are the secretary of the Students' Welfare Committee of your school. Write a notice for the notice board of your school inviting applications from needy students for the distribution of reference books free of cost. Mention the following points. [Points: last date of submission - list of books required -copies of marksheet and income certificate from the guardian should be submitted]

2. Suppose you are the Cultural Secretary of Your School. You want to observe the birth day of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Your School. Write a notice announcing the programme and inviting students to participate in it. Mention the following points. [Points: date-time- different items (cultural function) - submission of names of participants- request to maintain discipline.]

3. As the Secretary of the Eco-club of your school write a notice requesting the students to participate in the 'Tree Plantation Programme of your school. [Points: date and place of the programme-- details of the programme - the role of the students]

4. Suppose you are the students' secretary of the Flood Relief Committee of the school. The recent devastating flood in West Bengal has prompted you to invite contributions, in cash and kinds, from your fellow students. Write out a notice for the School Notice Board in this regard. Get your notice countersigned by the Headmaster.

5. Suppose, you are the Secretary of the Students' Welfare Committee. Write a notice for free distribution of text books with the following points. Get your notice countersigned by the HM. [Points: Free distribution of text books from class VI to X to deserving students - date, time, and place - last date of application - names of the books needed - Committee's decision is final]

6. As the group captain of the Educational Tour Team of your school write a notice for participants in the next tour. Tell them about the (a) time and place of assembly; (b) things that they should have in their kits; (c) date and time of return; (d) inoculation certificates needed; (e) money required; (f) consent letter of the guardian. Sign your notice at the bottom and make a space for it to be countersigned by your Headmaster.

 

REPORT:

1. Write a report on the Celebration of Kanyashree Divas/Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in your school.

2. Write a report on the recent floods in North Bengal.
